I-Ju Pan
I am currently serving as the Vice President of the Taiwan Institute of Landscape Architects, an Executive Director of the Taiwan Ecological Services Society, and the Design Director at Environmental Art Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd.
Over the past 30 years, I have dedicated myself to enhancing the quality of environmental landscapes across both public and private sectors in Taiwan. My work has covered a wide range of areas—from fostering ecological biodiversity in residential communities, integrating park and green space resources to design resilient environments, to promoting human-centered and nature-friendly planning in municipal projects. I have also been involved in improving the aesthetic quality of corporate public spaces and advocating for nature-inspired & design approaches in rural settings.
In addition, I actively participate in public landscape art projects. My works have been recognized with several prestigious international awards, including the IFLA AAPME Award, the APLA Award, and the International Awards for Liveable Communities. Domestically, I have received honors such as the National Golden Award for Architecture, the Taiwan Landscape Award, and the Yuan-Yeh Award.
In recent years, I’ve focused on promoting urban biodiversity—such as the reintroduction of fireflies in Daan Forest Park—which has garnered international attention and created opportunities to share Taiwan’s ecological experience with the world. My professional background has also led me to serve as a reviewer for various environmental design projects across ministries and city governments.
As an educator in top landscape architecture programs, I remain deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of landscape design professionals.
