Srilalitha GOPALAKRISHNAN is an accomplished landscape architect with over 15 years of professional experience in diverse projects across Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and India. She is the Associate Director of Research at the Singapore-ETH Centre Future Cities Laboratory Global (FCL G), a research collaboration between ETH Zurich and Singapore universities (NUS, NTU, SUTD) supported by the National Research Foundation Singapore. At FCL G, she also serves as the module coordinator for the "Dense and Green Cities: Emerging Models of Integrated Urban Development" research module. She served as President of the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects (SILA), representing the landscape architecture profession locally and regionally. She represents SILA at various national-level committees and strategic planning groups and chairs SILA’s Leadership in Design Strategic Pillar. Her leadership fosters responsible, innovative, resilient designs, seamlessly merging urban environments with complex natural systems. Dr Gopalakrishnan received her PhD in Architecture and Sustainable Design from the Singapore University of Technology and Design, focusing on the performance of integrated landscape design in high-density urban environments to achieve resilient and sustainable urban design solutions.
